Please read the following information before contracting Your Choice
Optimization to submit your website to search engines.
Websites must be fully ready for business before submission. Please
refer to “Is your site ready?” In addition, you must be able
to answer yes to the following items:
~Does your website have its own domain name?
~ Is your web site hosted on a fast and reliable web server? Search
engines might not index your web site if your server is too slow.
~Have you made sure that your web site is not hosted on a free
server? Many search engines don’t index web sites that are hosted on
free hosting services because they often contain spam.
~ Have you made sure that your web site URL is not just a
redirection to another URL? Many search engines won’t index
redirections.
~ Have you made sure that your web site URL doesn’t contain special
characters?
Now that your web site ready for submission, here are a few points
to keep in mind.
The moment a search engine spider visits your web site is not the
moment your web site is added to the search engine index. It’s only
the moment in which the search engine takes a look at your site.
It takes some time until search engines show your new pages in the
index. Search engine spiders have to visit your web pages, scan the
pates, evaluate your pages and add them to the index. Most search
engines need 4-12 weeks to accomplish all these things. This is the
reason that web sites should not be continually submitted. Be
patient and wait at least 3 months for indexing. You don’t want the
search engine to think that you are spamming.
Only submit your web site to relevant search engines. Do not use an
automatic site submitter. These submitters send your site to all
search engines without regard to country, language, or specialty.
